Hi everyone!
Today, I invite you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, where you can explore and present yourself with greater awareness about yourself.
Throughout your journey, there will be tasks to keep you focused. However, completing all of them is not necessary. You can try one, or two or do all of them. It’s entirely up to you to decide what you want to do and how many times you want to repeat those. Remember, it’s your life; only you can make it different.
If you choose to continue, I recommend investing in a lovely notebook and a pen that sparks inspiration, to help kickstart your journey and evoke a unique feeling.
Taking notes is highly recommended, and it’s best to write rather than type, as this has different benefits for your brain. This process can be compared to peeling an onion, where each layer reveals new opportunities for exploration, absorption, and change if needed.
To get started, I suggest turning on some soothing music (not necessary) and taking a few deep breaths. Take a moment to recall how many times you checked yourself in the mirror today and what you noticed. Find a comfortable position that helps you relax, then close your eyes and visualize your face in detail for a few minutes. Once you’re finished, feel free to continue reading.
How did it go? Could you describe your face? Could you provide more specific details about your face, instead of just mentioning your nose and eyes? If you were able to do so, congratulations! You’re more present than you realise. If not, don’t worry. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about yourself today.
It’s interesting to note that even though we check our reflections multiple times a day, we often struggle to remember our own faces. This is because we tend to be distracted by thoughts of what will happen in the future or caught up in past situations. As a result, we don’t always fully engage with the present moment, and our movements become automatic. It’s only when we “wake up” one day that we realise we’re no longer young, strong or you name it. Time has slipped away from us without us even noticing.
Today, I’m encouraging you to take a step back, slow down, and reconnect with yourself. Take the time to become more aware and present in the moment, and get your inner light back.
I suggest you find a room with a mirror, such as the bathroom, and take a moment to clear your face and remove any makeup. Take off the glasses if you have those and take a look at yourself. Who do you see looking back at you? Keep looking. Who is that human looking back at you in the mirror?
Have you ever noticed the mole on your right or left cheek or paid attention to the shape or colour of your lips? Please take a moment to touch your face and really feel it.
Take a closer look into your eyes. What colour are they? Have you ever noticed how they shine when you’re happy or fade when you’re sad? How do they appear to you right now? Look at yourself. Closer. Do you see? What do you see?
Describe your face in detail, even having touches of what seems flaw for you. Describe every mole and wrinkle. What shape, colour, and texture do they have? When did they appear on your face? What stories do they hold? Take your time.
Become familiar with what you introduce to the world every day, and to your loved ones. Look at yourself again and again. Look beyond just the physical appearance, and admire the person that you are.
Dive in and get to know the person behind the face. Manifest yourself.
P.S. I recommend repeating this task a few times a week. When you look in the mirror during the day, pay attention to how beautiful you are. Appreciate yourself. You are beautiful.
